JEROME MEET RECORDS WILL BE HARD TO BREAK AFTER FIRST DECADE ON FEBRUARY 1 AT ROO

Taya Batiste of the Vancouver Thunderbirds will run the U18 60m and 300m at the 10th Annual Harry Jerome Indoor Games set for Saturday, February 1 in the Richmond Olympic Oval. She competed at the Legion Canadian Championhips last summer. The South Burnaby Secondary student has personal bests of 12.35 for the 100m and 25.72 for the 200m. Taya is entered in the sprints where the U18 records are going to difficult o break.

Nasjeet Nijjar

The U18 60m record is held by Nasjeet Nijjar of the Universal Athletic Club. She ran 7.84 seconds and now is a frosh at Washington State University in Pullman.

The U18 300m record is held by Jessica Williams of Ocean Athletics. She ran 41.83 on the 200m flat track at the richmond Olympicpic Oval. Jessica now plays soccer

and runs the 400m hurdles for the University of British Columbia on the Point Grey Campus. READ STORY HERE
