CLIMAX APPROACHES FOR 2022 INDOOR SEASON AS MO AHMED OPENS THE OUTDOORS WITH A BANG

The 2022 outdoor season opened with outstanding results in California in the 10,000m held in San Juan Capistrano and the women's shot put in Long Beach. Mo Ahmed broke is Canadian record by 25 seconds in a photo finish with team mate Grant Fisher in the 25 lapper-26:33.84 to 26:34.14 while Sarah Mitton's 18.85m ranks second in the world in this early season. the indoor activity was relatively quiet as athletes prepared for the NCAA and World Championships in the next 2 weeks. In New York City, Marco Arop cruised to an easy win in the 800m while Khamica Bingham got her seasonal best in the 60m. In London, Ontario Damian Warner ran 7.63 in the 60m hurdles in his first official indoor event as her preps for World Indoor Heptathlon in Belgrade later this month. The top 30 Canadian list will now include both indoor and outdoor performances.
