JEROME INDOOR GAMES IS CANCELLED FOR 2021 DUE TO PANDEMIC

The Jerome Indoor games scheduled for the Richmond Olympic Oval on February 6, 2021 has been cancelled by the Achilles International Track and Field Society at their recent Annual General Meeting.

Co- Meet Director, Kim Young informed Warren Purchase of the Richmond Olympic Oval that the current information by British Columbia’s Public Health Authority would make holding of the only lower mainland indoor track and field competition a potential threat to containing Covid-19 virus.

This would have been the 11th edition of the Jerome Indoor Games.  The competition provided opportunities of track and field athletes of all ages at the 200m indoor track, a legacy of the 2010 Olympic Games Speed Skating facility.

The possibility for the organization of the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Classic set for June 13, 2021, will be decided at the Achilles International Track and Field Society will be discussed the next meeting in February.
