Jerome Indoor Games Hits Record Entries in Year 10 at Richmond Olympic Oval this Saturday

Meet directors Kim Young and Vincent Doyle announced just under 600 entries for the 10th edition of the Jerome Indoor Games set for this Saturday at the iconic Richmond Olympic Oval. Events cover athletes form 9 years to almost 80 years at the 200m indoor track, a dedicated legacy form the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in the sprints, middle distance, relays plus the high jump and shot put.

The women's 60m will have 4 heats with the best moving to the finals. The top 4 seeds are separated by just 0.08 seconds. The top 2 seeds are UBC's Hassant Fashina Bombata and Kaitlin Angell representing Saint Laurent Selects with times of 7.92 seconds. They are closely followed by Cayla Smith of Ocean Athletics and Amelai Gordon of Victoria Speed.

2019 60m Final with Kenny Blackman Jr edges Stephen Abosi

The men's 60m is highly contested with 9 preliminary heats qualifying for the final. Stephen Abosi of University of Calgary AC who has a personal best of 6.77 seconds is followed by Kenny Blackman Jr of Trinity Western University with a best of 6.92. Close contenders include UBC's Egidio Canterella, Saif Zaman and Jacob Hanna plus Alexander Pescitella of Bc and Deimantas Spucys of West Vancouver Track Club and Lithuania.
