On both sides of the Atlantic, Shawn Barber and Justyn Knight tie for the lead in the Canadian Top 30 list.
Shawn, the Beijing 2015 World Champion in the pole vault is gradually returning to the form that made him the first Canadian to vault 6.00m in January 2016. The standard for the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham is 5.78m. He has been selected to the Canadian Team for the Commonwealth Games competing April 4-15 in Gold Coast, Australia
Justyn Knight opened the indoor season in Boston with a personal best of 3:55.82 on January 27 and last weekend he cruised a 7:45.86 3000m in New York. His previous bests were 3:56.21 and 7:56.21. Justyn Knight is a student at Syracuse University and may well have a priority to compete in the NCAA indoor as he has not declared an interest in the World Indoor Championships nor the Commonwealth Games
