Jonathan Cabral moved to the top of the Canadian list for 110m hurdlers with his 13.64 clocking t the Drake Relays last weekend. The University of Oregon graduate represented Canada at the 2016 Rio Olympics and has a personal best of 13.35 over the 10 hurdles. In Rio he was 6th in the final of the sprint hurdles, one of the best Canadian hurdles performances in the Olympics since Mark McKoy’s gold medal in 1992.
Philip Osei was hampered by injury at the World Relays Championships on Canada’s 4x400m team just 2 weeks ago. He bounced back last weekend with a Canadian leading time of 46.14 in Baton Rouge, LA. The Torontonian has run under 46.00 five time with his best of 45.23 in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2015.
The 2017 Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Track Classic is set for June 28th at the Percy Perry Stadium in the Town Center of Coquitlam. The program will include both the sprint hurdles and 400m.
