The only indoor track meet in the lower mainland for 2017 will be held on February 4th at the Richmond Olympic Oval. Last year almost 400 athletes gathered to find the their potential best by running jumping and throwing. Early entries include Julie Kawai Herdman, an emerging multi event athlete who will test herself in 3 different events at the 7th Harry Jerome Indoor Games presented by TELUS. Julie will attempt to meet or beat her personal record of 1.70m
Traveling from the Edmonton area will be a quartet of middle distance runners from the Airdrie Aces which includes Scott Chalupiak who represented Canada at the World Youth Championships. His best 800m time is 1:52.86 set in 2015.
It is expected that Stephen Abosi of the Vancouver Thunderbirds will contest the men's open 60m. The former UBC athlete has a personal best of 6.88 seconds
