Canadian athletes made their marks today at the Birmingham Grand Prix Indoor in the UK.
Surrey, B.C. long jumper, Christabel Nettey took the silver medal with her second best ever mark of 6.84m. Britain's Katarina Johnson-Thompson took the gold with a new UK record of 6.93m.
Christabel set the Canadian record in Stockholm earlier this week with a world leading 6.99m
Toronto's Justyn Warner and Calgary's Akeem Haynes were in a photo finish in the men's 60m sprint. Kim Collins of St Kitts and Nevis took the gold in 6.50 seconds with Justyn at 6.57 and Akeem at 6.58 for 4th and 5th in the final.
