ARMSTRONG TAKES GOLD AGAIN IN EUROPE
Dylan Armstrong of Kamloops won the Artur Takatch Memorial shot put in Belgrade, Serbia tonight for the second consecutive year. He won with a throw of 20.49m over, Dorian Scott (20.29m) of the US and Pavel Sofin (20.14m) of Russia. Dylan coached by Dr. Anatoliy Bondarchuk, narrowly missed the bronze medal in the Beijing Olympics with his national record of 21.04m. This 28 year old who weighs in at 114kg and stands 1.93m, will compete at the Harry Jerome International Track Classic on
Sunday, June 14th at Swangard Stadium, Burnaby.
