Dylan Armstrong
Dylan Armstrong of Kamloops, won the gold medal in shot put on Saturday, May 23 at the Halle Hallesche Erdgas-Werfertage, an all throws competition in Germany with his seasonal best of 20.68m. He defeated Ralf Bartels of Germany for the first time in their 4 head to head meetings. Bartels has won medals in the World and European Championships.
Armstrong won the gold medal in his event in the Pan American Games and set the Canadian record of 21.04m with his 4th place in the Beijing Olympics.
